About
Lindsay Waite has been writing her entire life, from childhood diaries, to journals, book and film reviews, legal briefs, and opinion pieces. The quest for social justice permeates her stories. She knows what it is like to flee violence and fight unfairness, inspiring most of her screenplays.
She practiced law for 27 years, and then mediated disputes for several more. She also taught writing, at the college and law school levels, and also at the Maryland House of Correction.
In the early 2000s, she created award-winning video shorts, but her heart was always in writing stories, so she shifted to screenwriting, with an occasional foray into poetry and one unpublished novel.
She has lived on the East Coast - and in the Southwest - and loves road trips between these locations. Other passions: music, Spanish language studies, photography, the great outdoors.
